Welcome back to another exciting installment of the Big B weekend update. Don’t forget that Big B will be closed on Monday February 15th for Family Day. Great week all around this week for comics but just a reminder to all you cool cats out there about a few exciting things. The Wizard World Toronto show is coming up in March and Big B will be selling tickets to the show at the cost of 29.00 for a 1 day pass and 49.00 for a 3 day pass. Don’t forget about the Hobby Star Fan Appreciation Event on February 28th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre either. But let’s get onto the comics.

Starting off with the guys from DC for a change, we got a nice pile of good reading. For the Bat-family, we got the highly anticipated issue eight of Grant Morrison’s Batman and Robin and Batgirl. On the Kryptonian side of things, Adventure Comics and Action Comics kept us in touch with kryptonians in the absence of any Superman title this week. Other notable DC books this week include Secret Six, JSA All-Stars, Unwritten and Human Target which has recently received its own TV series which you need to watch to support your comic adaptation industry!

Marvel had another great week with a number of strong reads. These include: Amazing Spider-Man, Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimate Armor Wars, Strange, New Mutants, Dark X-Men and Dark Tower.

Trade readers had an even better week than the floppy readers. They got an all original Hellblazer graphic novel entitled “Hellblazer: Pandemonium” written by original Hellblazer scribe; Jamie Delano and illustrated by Jock. Not only that, the second volume of the hardcover deluxe edition of Preacher hit the stands. And continuing in the vein of second volumes, All-Star Superman gets its softcover release.

Toywise, the Batman Mad Love box set came in featuring action figures of Harley Quinn and the Joker alongside a special reprint of the Mad Love comic. Don’t forget to get the awesome Futurama action figures either, Chef Bender and Mom are what you need to brighten up your day.

Well, that’s all the time we have this weekend weekend update. This is the Big B crew signing off reminding you that “Aquaman is pretty lame”.
