Welcome to another fine installment of the Big B comics update. We’re only 2 weeks away from the spectacular Big B anniversary sale on Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th. We’re gonna have a fantastic BBQ, great deals and appearances by Superman and possibly the Flash! Sign up for our newsletter to get the rest of the details. Now onto what was hot that came onto the shelves.

From the guys at Marvel, our big release of the week was Wolverine #1, an all new series written by Jason Aaron focusing on our favourite Canadian which will lead into Wolverine goes to Hell (sounds like an Ernest movie), Deadpool Noir, Shadowland, Scarlet (technically an Icon title, but it’s Bendis!), Incredible Hulks where all the Hulked out people are one big happy family, Avengers Children Crusade and Amazing Spider-Man presents Black Cat, not a huge lineup but solid reads.

DC on the otherhand, didn’t have such a great week with only a few titles representing them on the shelf. Namely, Brightest Day, Superman The Last Family of Krypton, Secret Six and Freedom Fighters. Not a huge list but good reads.

Since the big two didn’t have much, it was time for the smaller companies to show their stuff. Dark Horse gave us some Buffy and Hellboy. We also got in Kevin Smith’s Green Hornet latest issue as well as the annual, Incorruptible and Stumptown. So even if Marvel and DC let you down, you can count on those smaller guys to have your back.

Trade readers got some decent reads too, Invincible Vol 13 and Amulet vol 3.

Toys toys toys is the word of the week as we’ve done a massive restock of toys at rock bottom prices to fill out your toy collection.

Well, that’s all the time we have this week. This is the Big B crew signing off reminding you to drop by for our spectacular anniversary sale where we may even see Jill make a costume appearance.
