So it has been a little over a week now and the FanExpo 2012 dust has settled. This year we had three employees (Jenn, Marko and Vikie) who not only had never worked FanExpo before, they had never attended at all! I thought that this would be a perfect opportunity to get their opinions. Today we are taking a look through Jenn’s eyes and seeing what she thought of the whole experience. Be sure to come back this week to see what our other newbies thought.

 Jenn

I spent the weekend at Fan Expo Canada and it was honestly the best weekend of my life. On Thursday I worked at the Big B table, and had an absolute blast talking to all of the customers. I also went to the convention on Saturday to cosplay with my friends. I stopped by the table that day to see everyone, including Richard Comely and Captain Canuck. On Sunday I was back at the booth having the time of my life. I got to talk about comics with so many people. As a horror movie fan, the highlight of my Sunday was taking a break to see John Carpenter’s Q&A panel and coming back to the Big B booth to talk comics with Rue Morgue Magazine editor Dave Alexander. I was definitely a little bit star struck.

As some of you may know, I will be moving on to a new province and new opportunities in September, so I’m thankful that I could meet my extended Big B family this weekend, and get to know everyone. I was not surprised by how funny and kind everyone was, and words can’t describe how much it means to me to know such amazing people who support my hobbies and care about my well being. I will miss working along side everyone, but I’m also happy than I can continue writing reviews and articles for the website and informer. Thank you to everyone from Big B, and everyone who stopped by the booth for all of your support. You’ve made this the best weekend ever.
