Alright ladies and gents, we have the January updates and honestly they have done very little to find anything more out about Marvel Now! But let’s go over what we have so far to make sure everyone is on the same page:

#1 This is NOT a Reboot
Marvel is not rebooting the universe, they are simply rearranging the teams, renaming some of their series (for example Amazing Spider-Man becoming Superior Spider-Man), and starting a few new series (for example Avengers Arena).  The past will be referenced and consequences of recent events (for example Avengers vs X-Men) will be present. Unfortunately that means that this is not the great jumping on point for Marvel that the New 52 was for DC, but at the same time even the New 52 carried a lot of information and story lines over.

These series are not being cancelled or relaunched:

  • Avengers Assemble
  • Captain Marvel
  • Journey into Mystery
  • Hulk (become “Red She-Hulk” in October)
